Introducing: Porada Furniture
Stocktons welcomes another designer to our Manchester showroom. Introducing Porada Designer Furniture, For Porada, everything is born from the love of the wood. The solid wood, worked with the craftsmanship of those who know how to turn a log into a piece of artwork.
Porada has its origin from this passion. It was established in 1968 by Luigi Allievi with the aim of expanding the production of chairs, started in 1948. With the support of his sons, who became promoters, as well as him, of a Company that makes quality and professionalism its own bases. Excellent quality and considerable experience in the wood manufacturing shortly gave the Company a solid and well-defined identity, which nowadays express itself in refined products that contribute to design a domestic environment, where the everyday living needs are met.
The key for Porada to achieve renown within an international audience consists of its ability to find the right balance between form and function in every objet, together with an elegant and evolved taste, that is at the same time sober and essential for items made to last in time.
Porada’s collection is wide and varied, made up of a multitude of occasional furniture developed in cooperation with designers as Tarcisio Colzani, Marconato & Zappa, Opera Design, Giovanna Azzarello, Marelli&Molteni, Giuseppe Viganò, Gino Carollo and Stefano Bigi among others.
The main strength of Porada is also, and most important, something else. Something that has nothing to do with the quality of the materials or cutting-edge machinery. It’s the human factor. They’re people who for years have become part of this family, who treat products as they would do with something of their own, putting all their care and passion in their daily work.
The Porada products are the result of the proper combining of technological processes with the artisan tradition of this area and the designs are complying with ergonomic, environmental and sustainable design characteristics.
Excellent quality and considerable experience in the wood manufacturing shortly gave Porada a solid and well-defined identity, which nowadays express itself in refined products that contribute to design a domestic environment, where the everyday living needs are met.
The Porada finishes chosen in terms of wood are canaletta walnut and wengè stained, the textiles are in pastel colours, from light blue to grey, the same colours used for the lacquered items. Elegant and sophisticated spaces in a perfect Porada Style!
Why not come down to the Stocktons Manchester showroom and take a look around our Porada showroom for yourself. We’ve got the biggest Porada showroom in the UK and I’m sure you’ll agree it looks great.
Hope to see you in store soon,
Emma McKevitt
